Unit 3: Part 1 - Start Here

8thGradeMath.png

Unit 3: Part 1 leads us in an exploration of square, cube, and non-perfect roots of numbers. The concepts presented in Unit 3 will be very important as we move forward. These base skills will be built upon in later units, and beyond this class Unit 3 provides base skills needed for algebra, trigonometry, and calculus.

All resources for this Unit (including Homework and links to the videos in this page) are linked on the Course  Modules page in the Unit 3 area.

We will be using the videos below as additional resources as we move through this unit. I am including a gallery of the videos embedded here on this page as a quick reference guide. Please review these videos as needed during this unit.

Exponents become very important as you move further into math and science as exponents simplify the expression of large numbers.  We will be working with basic exponents as well as Scientific notation (a10b) in this unit.  Please review the following videos for a quick refresher!
